On Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at 7 p.m. at the Hotel Antica Badia, the ordinary meeting of the Club’s members was held on second call, during which the budget for the 2022-2023 Rotary year was approved and the President for the 2024-2025 R.A. and the Board of Directors for the 2023-2024 R.Y. were appointed.
On Friday, January 20, 2023 at 7 p.m. at the Circolo Italia, the Club’s Members’ Assembly was held on second call for the approval of the final budget for the 2021/2022 Rotary year.
During the evening, two new members, Rita Pinelli and Santo Burgio, were co-opted, and the PHF award was conferred on member Giuseppe Antoci.
Friday 3 February 2023, at 18:00 at the Donnafugata theater in Ragusa Ibla presentation of the book “Noi voci invisibili” by the late Elisa Schininà, with the presence and organizational participation also of the Lions Club Ragusa and the Sororoptimist Ragusa.
Elisa is the daughter of Maurizio Schininà, a former president of the Rotary Club of Cuneo from Ragusa. The lyrics, written by his daughter Elisa, talk about his personal story and the end that resulted in a suicide.

On Monday, February 20, 2023 at 4 p.m. at the headquarters of the Italian Union of the Blind and Visually Impaired, the Rotary Club of Ragusa and the Club of Ragusa Hybla Heraea delivered two Labrador puppies which, after a period of training, will become guide dogs for the blind.
On Saturday 25 February 2023 at the headquarters of the Ricca.it company, as part of the “Hack Your Talent” ideas competition, there was the presentation of the humanoid robot Little Paul, born thanks to a project of the Rotary District 2110 Sicily-Malta, which our Club also enthusiastically joined.
On Sunday, March 5, 2023 in the splendid setting of the Donnafugata Theater in Ragusa Ibla, a musical evening to commemorate the eightieth anniversary of the birth of Lucio Battisti.Together with the Rotaract, the Lions and the Soroptimist, the band Battistology made us sing and dream to the notes of the great Lucio, with proceeds donated to charity.
Friday 17 March 2023 at 7.30 p.m. – at the Così è Restaurant – fireplace on the theme “The spontaneous orchids of the Hyblean plateau” with dr. Giovanni Brinch and Prof. Vito Campo, who introduced us to the world of wild orchids that can be found in our territory.
During the evening, two new members were co-opted, dr. Cesare Ammendola and dr. Vittorio Sica.
On Friday 31 March 2023 at 7.30 pm at the headquarters of the Hotel Antica Badia, in the presence of the Mayor of Ragusa avv. Giuseppe Cassì and the Commander of the Municipal Police Cannavò, the Club awarded with a plaque the two brave traffic policemen who in recent months saved the life of one of our fellow citizens.This will be followed by a fireplace dedicated to crime and safety on the internet with the young doctor Viviana Digrandi as speaker.

The event was an unmissable opportunity for Rotary training and offered updates on the news and initiatives of the District.
On Friday, May 19, 2023 at 7:30 p.m., at the Pizzeria Così è in Ragusa, in collaboration with the Soroptimist Club of Ragusa, fireplace on the figure of Prof. Margherita Margani Nicosia, an illustrious archaeologist as well as former Principal of the Umberto I Classical High School in Ragusa, whose death anniversary occurs. Speakers were Notary Maria Nicosia, Prof. Maria Puglisi of the Soroptimist, our incoming President Saverio Scerra and Dr. Antonino Facella.

On Saturday, June 17, 2023 at 12 noon, at the Ubik Terramatta Bookshop (formerly the Paolino bookshop), as part of the A Tutto Volume event, presentation of the book “Thresholds – doors, door knockers and overdoors”, edited by our Club.
The book, from an idea by Saro Distefano, will be published by the Abulafia publishing house with the contribution of members Giorgio Spoto, who took care of the photographic set-up, and Katia Blasco, who edited the text.
